Our beautiful nieces, Rylee and Jillian. Baby brother Gabe came home from the hospital today. He and Mommy are doing great!

At Pa and MiMi's house the fun never stops! Uncle Callans really knows how to keep Luke entertained.

Christmas and a Baby!

I am going to have to break up my Christmas pictures into a couple of posts to fit them all in. Luke had a great Christmas. Just to name a few, he received an electric guitar, drums, a red ATV, and a toddler MP3 player. Now, we just have to find a place to put everything. Luke's playroom looks like it has exploded! Santa was good to Mommy as well, I got an iPod Nano! Today we also welcome a new baby to our family. Jeremy's sister Julie had her first boy, Gabe. He weighed 9# 8oz and was 21 and a half inches long. His big sisters Rylee and Jillian are very proud. I'll post a picture as soon as I get one. Luke and I have a bit of a cold, so we didn't go to the hospital today.

This one pretty much sums it up!

31!!!!!!!

Happy birthday to me; happy birthday to me. Well, today I am 31! YUCK! I'm hoping to get dinner out and some Daddy babysitting tonight. I'll post some Christmas pictures in a few days when I sort through them all. By the way, happy birthday Dad! My Dad and I share a birthday, he is 56 today!

Santa!

Luke got to visit with Santa today and tell him what he wants for Christmas. He wouldn't sit in Santa's lap, but he did agree to sit next to him in his chair.

Gingerbread House

Luke and I made a gingerbread house last week (a preassembled kit from Walmart, which is the only way to do it with a 2-year-old). Luke decorated the roof all by himself, in between bites of candy.

Dancing Machine!

Luke loves to dance. He's was really moving this morning while I was cleaning house with some music on. Here he is "gettin' jiggy" with The Wedding.

Parking Lot

Luke turned his playroom mat into a parking lot last week. He got every single one of his cars and trucks out and lined them up. He was so proud of himself (as you can see from the picture)!

Roger Federer?

I think we may have a future Wimbledon champ on our hands. Luke has quite the natural ability with a racket and ball. I guess we better start saving up for a tennis coach!

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck...

When we were leaving Branson, we saw a large furry thing on the road. We initially thought it was a beaver, but the tail wasn't right. I took a picture and we think it's a woodchuck. I've never seen one in person before.

Branson

Jeremy and I escaped to Branson for a few days while Nana and Papaw kept Luke at our house. We had a great time. We stayed at Big Cedar Lodge in a condo, which was really wonderful. It was so nice to have a couple of days to wake up on my own without the sounds of "Mama, I want out" echoing through the house!

Bowling Shoes

We took Luke bowling for the first time last night. He had a blast. Here are a few pictures.

Aargh!

Luke was a pirate for Halloween this year. He really enjoyed wearing his eye-patch and saying "aargh!" to everyone.

Tractors and Pumpkins

Luke and I spent most of last week at Jeremy's Dad's house watching Jeremy's brothers while his Dad was having open-heart surgery. (He's doing really well by the way; thank you for your prayers!) Luke got to ride Pa's tractor with Daddy. We also carved some jack-o-lanterns last night. Luke wanted "a happy one and a mean one".

Farmer's Market

Luke and I went down to the Farmer's Market a couple of weeks ago. Luke really enjoyed throwing rocks in the fountain.

"Bless you stuff"

This was the conversation between Jeremy, Luke and me in the car tonight...

Luke: I'm eating my bless you stuff.

Me: What is bless you stuff?

Jeremy: I think he's talking about his boogers.

Me: Luke, that's yucky, don't do that.

Luke: It's yummy!

Jeremy: Luke, that is really gross, stop!

Luke: Hey guys, do you want some?

Ah, the joys of having a boy...this is what you have to look forward to AJ.

Here's an equally charming picture of Luke after having eaten pudding "all by myself".

Flowers for Grandmom

Luke and I went to visit my parents last week for a few days. Every time we've gone to Walmart in the past 2 months Luke has wanted to buy Grandmom flowers, so before we got to their house we stopped and got Grandmom some flowers. Needless to say, she was very surprised and excited. Luke was pretty proud of himself, too.

Clean Room!

About a week ago I told Luke to go clean his room, just like I do every night; only this time he actually did it! I could not believe my eyes when I walked into his room and boy was he proud of himself. He has cleaned his room every night since then when I've asked! Now, if I can just keep this up when he's a teenager...

And yes, he did stack the tray and pillows on top of the toy box, and the Lightning McQueen chair on the ottoman all by himself!

Water Fun

Jeremy had Luke "help" him spray off some tarps to put them up for the winter and this was the result.

Amazing Clouds

I really don't understand how people do not believe in God when they look up in the sky and see things like this.

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. I Chronicles 29:10-12

Football

Luke went to his first official Razorback football game tonight. He lasted almost until half-time which is really good for a two-year old with lots of energy! He really had a great time. I also finally found a rug for my dining room at Sam's of all places. I've been looking forever, but everything was either too expensive or too big. Anyway, here are some pictures...

Back to work

Sorry, I don't have any cute Luke pictures today. Life has been pretty busy around here lately. I've just started a new job. I'm managing an event facility. It's a really great job with lots of flexibility. Once I get trained, I will be off on Monday's and work from home on Tuesday and Thursday mornings so Luke will only go to preschool on Wednesday and Friday. It really is the perfect arrangement, so...why do I feel so guilty! What is it that makes women feel so guilty about going to work after they have children. I keep telling myself that I've been so much luckier than most people since I got to stay home full-time for 2+ years, but I still feel like I'm doing something wrong. Anyway, please pray for me and if you have any great advice about not feeling so guilty, I'd love to hear it! I promise my next post will be much more cheerful and include some cute pictures of Luke.

We just returned from a wonderful week at Bogg Springs for NC2. If you are unfamiliar with NC2 check out http://www.nc2atthebogg.com/flashhome.html. Here are some pictures of Luke. He had a BLAST!

Potty Training

We decided to tackle potty training about 4 weeks ago and Luke is starting to do pretty well. He filled up his potty chart and got a prize last week and has already almost filled up the chart again. Our only real problem is he won't go #2 on the potty yet. We've promised him a trip to Chuck E. Cheese when he does which he seems to be excited about, so hopefully it will happen soon. Here's Luke with his chart and his prize and another picture of Luke and Daddy having a popsicle.

Fishing

We took Luke fishing for the first time over the 4th of July with my parents and brother in Russellville. Uncle Carl and Granddad got Luke his own fishing pole and tackle box complete with fishing supplies. Luke loved it for about 15 minutes then he was ready to play in the dirt! Here's Luke, Jeremy and Granddad with Luke's first fish.

Random Pictures

Here are some pictures we've taken over the last couple of weeks.

These first two are from Lake Wedington. We went with Courtney and Grace on Friday and had a great time. (Grace fell asleep before I remembered my camera.) We loved it. My only complaint was grass instead of sand. It would have been nice to have some sand to play in. We managed to catch a fish in a bucket though, so Luke was pretty excited about that.

Luke in the laundry basket.

Here's Luke and Nate. Luke loves Nate, and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual!

Granddad & Grandmom's House

Luke went to stay with my parents for a couple of days last week. Here are a few pictures from his visit.
