Luke got off to school yesterday just great. He went right to his desk, set down, and started playing. We were so proud of him. He had a wonderful 1st day and even got a sticker for good behavior! We really like his teacher. She has 24 years of experience (which will come in handy dealing with Luke) and seems to be really sweet. Here's the school boy before we left the house.

Graduation
Luke graduated from preschool last Friday. I can't believe he will be starting Kindergarten in a couple of months. Time really seems to fly by. Oddly, I'm not really sad about it at all. I miss my little baby, but I love having this smart little boy who can carry on a full conversation with me. If I've learned anything over the past several months, it is that life is to be enjoyed each and every day!

Birthday Boy
Luke turned 5 on Sunday. I can't believe my baby boy is 5 years old. He will start kindergarten this fall. Here are a couple of pictures from the party thanks to Amy and my mom. I'm such a great mother I didn't take a camera to my own child's birthday party!

Monster Jam
I finally got around to downloading the pictures from my phone.
Can you tell he is not really interested in having his picture made?

We made a Monday-Friday, mad, 6-stop, Christmas trip spectacular this week. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the week.

Catching up
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted, but I've been pretty busy with other things lately! Here are a couple of cute pictures we've taken of Luke over the past few weeks.

A boy and a bunny
Our associate pastor, Ben, found 4 baby rabbits in his front yard the other day. He and Jeremy put them in the backyard of the empty house next door to try to keep the dogs and cats away from them. Jeremy took Luke and I down to see them later in the day and discovered that a dog had gotten at least one of them, and we couldn't find the other 3. To make a long story short, we found 1 of them and brought it home. I called a wildlife rehabilitation specialist who told me this bunny was old enough to be on its own, so we waited until dark and released it outside of the city a little bit. It was so cute! Luke, of course, was in love with it. He named it Cutie. Here are a few pictures of Luke and Cutie before Cutie's return to the great outdoors.
